Adolescent Vocal Training with Deirdre Trundle the author of Changing Voices: An Approach to Adolescent Voice Training
|
Following the publication of Changing Voices: An Approach to Adolescent Voice Training, Voicesource is please to announce dates for Deirdre Trundle's popular 'Changing Voices' seminar. Deirdre Trundle's Changing Voices programme is designed to provide teachers and coaches with straight-forward techniques for working with young voices. Her pioneering and dynamic approach is completely without aesthetic bias and works for any musical genre. The strategies are equally relevant to those working with adolescents and the spoken voice. Deirdre Trundle says, 'The stages of voice change follow a predictable pattern. Teachers who understand this pattern can safely guide adolescents through the years of voice change. I have found this to be the key to developing healthy and happy singing in adolescents.' Each seminar includes live demonstrations with young voices, so that you will be able to see and hear the Changing Voices exercises in action. The Changing Voices seminar provides techniques for music and drama teachers working throughout the education system - great for choir directors and youth theatre leaders. Many common vocal problems in young adults occur as the result of poor voice use during adolescence. This seminar will provide guidance for teachers working in Higher and Further Education to help understand and manage these vocal problems. Three seminars are currently scheduled.
