Mr Matthew Reeve
Biography
Matthew is a voice consultant working with both the singing and spoken voice. He is an experienced teacher, having worked extensively in the Further and Higher Education sector and in many professional drama training institutions across the United Kingdom. Matthew now advises on cirriculum, course and staff development.
Matthew currently teaches in the voice department at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. During his time at Mountview he has provided vocal coaching for many public musical theatre performances in venues across London. He also teaches at Arts Educational School and London Studio Centre.
Matthew is a Certified Course Instructor for Estill Voice International with Testing Privileges. He has presented courses across the United Kingdom and in Europe on the Estill Voice Training System and specialist workshops on anatomy, musical theatre, belting and phonetics. He has a special interest in phonetics and vocal function and maintains a busy private studio with numerous clients working in the West End and at the RSC. His students have appeared in principle roles in West End shows including Les Miserable, Phantom of the Opera, Lion King and We Will Rock You.
Matthew is in the embryonic stages of a PhD in the English Language Department at Glasgow University.
